Haider Ackermann was born in Bogotá in 1971, grew up in several countries and trained at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. He founded his own label in 2001 and shows in Paris. His work is known for draping, asymmetric layering, velvet, silk and leather in deep colours and a mix of tailoring and loose, kimono like shapes. He was creative director of Berluti from 2016 to 2018 and became creative director of Tom Ford in 2024.

The AKAIBU archive holds Haider Ackermann menswear and a few women's pieces from Spring Summer 2014 to Fall Winter 2017, with the largest groups from Fall Winter 2015, Spring Summer 2015 and Fall Winter 2014. It includes velvet and silk bombers, kimono jackets, double layer hoodies and sweatshirts, striped and floral shirts, velour sweatpants, trousers and knitwear.

Haider Ackermann garments carry the season on the inner label and are made in Italy, Belgium or Portugal depending on the piece. We state the season in each listing when it can be confirmed.

Every piece in this collection is examined and authenticated in house in Vienna before it is listed. We ship worldwide with tracked delivery, and our showroom in Vienna can be visited by appointment. If you own Haider Ackermann pieces you would like to sell, see Consign with AKAIBU. If you are looking for a specific piece that is not listed, our Sourcing service can search for it.
