Burberry Prorsum

Burberry was founded in 1856 by Thomas Burberry in Basingstoke and is known for gabardine, the trench coat and the house check. Burberry Prorsum was the runway line of the house from 1999 to 2016, designed first by Roberto Menichetti and then by Christopher Bailey, who led the creative direction from 2001 to 2018. The Prorsum collections of the 2010s, with shearling aviator jackets, military coats, animal prints and metallic trench coats, are the pieces collectors look for. Riccardo Tisci and Daniel Lee followed.
