Céline was founded in Paris in 1945 by Céline Vipiana and belongs to LVMH. Michael Kors led the house from 1997 to 2004. Phoebe Philo was creative director from 2008 to 2017 and defined the house for collectors with clean, generous shapes, colourblocking, cashmere knitwear, silk shirts and dresses and a quiet, functional luxury. Hedi Slimane took over in 2018, removed the accent from the name and brought his own rock and bourgeois references to the house.

The AKAIBU archive concentrates on the Phoebe Philo years, with pieces from Spring Summer 2011 to Fall Winter 2017 and further pieces from Fall Winter 2007 and Fall Winter 2008. It includes cashmere and wool knitwear, oversized and striped shirts, silk dresses, cropped and double layer pieces, trousers, cargo pieces and accessories. A smaller group comes from the Hedi Slimane era, including Fall Winter 2019 ranger boots and shirts.

Pieces of the Philo era carry the Céline Paris label with the accent and the season code, while Slimane era pieces read Celine. Both spellings are listed in this collection.

Every piece in this collection is examined and authenticated in house in Vienna before it is listed. We ship worldwide with tracked delivery, and our showroom in Vienna can be visited by appointment.
