Product Details

Martin Margiela found the German Army Trainer in Austria in 1996, a low sneaker in white leather and grey suede developed for the German army in the 1970s, and the house has reissued the shape ever since. For Spring Summer 2002 the Artisanal line, marked 0 10 for menswear on the numbered label, took existing pairs into the Paris atelier and covered them in hand drawn graffiti. Every pair was worked individually, so the lettering differs from one to the next; this one carries the French counting game 1, 2, 3, soleil across the toe.
