Helmut Lang SS94 Purple Shoulder Accent Dress

Helmut Lang made this dress for Spring Summer 1994, in the years when he was still working from Vienna and showing his collections in Paris. Its defining detail is the purple accent set at the shoulder. Lang's output of that period was described in the press as the New Glamour: hard edged, stripped back, with more of the street than the salon in it.
