Maison Martin Margiela FW94 Reproduction Black Slip Dress

A black slip dress by Maison Martin Margiela from Autumn Winter 1994, part of the series in which the house reproduced found period garments and labelled them with their origin. The interior label reads, in French and English, Reproduction of a series of garment interiors, Slip, U.S.A., 1960s. The dress is cut in a soft black fabric with a slight sheen, with a gently scooped neckline, thin adjustable spaghetti straps with metal sliders, a straight knee length body and a narrow hem. On the back, the label is attached with a rectangle of white stitching that shows through on the outside, the same way the house's blank label is held by four stitches. Great condition. No size tag, fits roughly a size S to M.
