Bottega Veneta

Bottega Veneta was founded in Vicenza in 1966 as a leather goods house and is known for the intrecciato woven leather. Tomas Maier led the house from 2001 to 2018. Daniel Lee was creative director from 2018 to 2021 and introduced the chunky lug sole boots, the padded and quilted leather, the square toes and the bottle green that defined the house in those years. Matthieu Blazy followed from 2021 to 2024 and Louise Trotter from 2025.

The AKAIBU archive concentrates on the Daniel Lee years, with pieces from Spring Summer 2018 to Fall Winter 2020 and a smaller number from Fall Winter 2010. It includes lug sole and Chelsea boots, combat boots, quilted slippers and creepers, square toe shoes, zip shirts and trousers.

Bottega Veneta footwear carries the house stamp and size on the insole, and the garments carry the season on the inner label. We check these details on every piece before listing.
