Prada

Prada was founded in Milan in 1913 by Mario Prada as a leather goods house. Miuccia Prada took over in 1978 and introduced the black nylon bags in the 1980s, womenswear in 1988 and menswear in 1993. Prada Sport, later known as Linea Rossa, was launched in 1997 and brought technical fabrics, zips and utility details to the house. Since 2020 Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons have led the collections together.

The Prada section of the AKAIBU archive spans the 1990s and 2000s to the recent collections, with strong groups from Spring Summer 1999 and Fall Winter 1999 and further pieces from Fall Winter 2011 to Fall Winter 2019. It includes Prada Sport nylon jackets and flight jackets, cargo and utility pants, wool tailoring, shirts, skirts, suede and leather pieces, boots and nylon and leather bags.

Prada garments carry the season on the inner label, and the Prada Sport pieces carry the red stripe tab. We check labels, hardware and construction on every piece before listing.

Every piece in this collection is examined and authenticated in house in Vienna before it is listed. We ship worldwide with tracked delivery, and our showroom in Vienna can be visited by appointment.
