Berluti by Haider Ackermann Leather Lapel Black Coat

Haider Ackermann led Berluti for a short, distinctive stretch between late 2016 and 2018, folding his feel for languid tailoring into a house built on leather craft. This black coat shows that approach at its most direct, with smooth leather facing the lapels in place of the expected cloth. Ackermann spoke during his tenure about clothes meant to improve with wear, extending Berluti's tradition of patinated leather from shoes into the wardrobe itself. He showed three collections for the Paris house before departing in spring 2018.
