Helmut Lang FW99 Séance de Travail Ballistic Nylon Astro Biker Jacket

Helmut Lang showed the astro biker in his Autumn/Winter 1999 collection, titled Séance de Travail, and this jacket is the ballistic nylon version of that design. Lang produced the astro in several materials, and the ballistic shell sits lighter and slimmer than its moleskin counterparts while remaining sturdy and water resistant. The pattern carries motorcycle-derived detailing through articulated sleeves, and examples from the season were fitted with Lang's webbing carry straps on the interior.
