Balmain SS08 by Christophe Decanin Bleached Floral Silk Runway Dress

From the Balmain Spring Summer 2008 runway under Christophe Decarnin: a silk dress whose floral print has been put through a bleach treatment. That season drew on a loose, haute hippie vocabulary of fringe, feathers and tie dye. Decarnin took over Balmain in 2005, and SS08 belongs to the early stretch of his time there, before the studded direction of his later collections.
