Black patent leather combat boots from Dior Homme's Autumn Winter 2007 collection, the season Hedi Slimane titled Navigate after the These New Puritans track that scored its show. It was Slimane's final collection for the house, trading his earlier indie leanness for a militaristic register of cropped jodhpurs tucked into paratrooper boots. These boots carry that austere, utilitarian line into footwear, the high lacing and lacquered surface holding the tension between tailoring and uniform that defined the collection.
