Maison Martin Margiela AW94 Reproduction Custom Made Suit Skirt

This skirt belongs to Maison Martin Margiela's Autumn Winter 1994 collection, a season composed almost entirely of reproductions. Instead of presenting new designs, Margiela reissued garments from his own earlier collections and remade existing pieces, turning the copy itself into the statement of the season. The label of each reproduction recorded the character and period of its source, in this case a custom made suit skirt.
