Givenchy

Givenchy was founded in Paris in 1952 by Hubert de Givenchy and became famous through its work with Audrey Hepburn. John Galliano, Alexander McQueen and Julien Macdonald led the house after the founder's retirement. Riccardo Tisci was creative director from 2005 to 2017 and defined the house for the 2010s with gothic and religious references, the Rottweiler, Doberman and Bambi prints, the Birds of Paradise collection and oversized sweatshirts and shirts. Clare Waight Keller, Matthew Williams and Sarah Burton followed.

The AKAIBU archive concentrates on the Riccardo Tisci years, with pieces from Spring Summer 2011 to Spring Summer 2016 and the largest groups from Fall Winter 2011 and Fall Winter 2013. It includes Rottweiler and Doberman shirts, Birds of Paradise pieces, oversized sweatshirts and sweaters, floral prints, knitwear, shorts, trousers and footwear.

Givenchy garments of this period carry the season code on the inner label and are made in Italy or Portugal. We check these details on every piece before listing.
