Number (N)ine was founded in Tokyo in 1996 by Takahiro Miyashita and became one of the most collected Japanese labels of the 2000s, with collections built around rock music, Americana, grunge and reworked vintage, shown in Paris from 2004. Miyashita left in 2009 and founded TheSoloist, and the Number (N)ine archive has since become a collector's category of its own.

The AKAIBU archive holds Number (N)ine pieces including distressed baseball long sleeves and repurposed vintage Harley Davidson shirts.

Number (N)ine garments carry the woven label with the season and the made in Japan mark. We state the season in each listing when it can be confirmed.

Every piece in this collection is examined and authenticated in house in Vienna before it is listed. We ship worldwide with tracked delivery, and our showroom in Vienna can be visited by appointment. If you own Number (N)ine pieces you would like to sell, see Consign with AKAIBU. If you are looking for a specific piece that is not listed, our Sourcing service can search for it.
