Eero Aarnio

Eero Aarnio, born in Helsinki in 1932, is one of the best known Finnish designers of the 1960s. His Ball Chair of 1963, the Bubble Chair and the Pastil Chair of 1967, all made in fibreglass, are icons of space age design. The Pastil Chair won the American Industrial Design Award in 1968 and has been produced by Adelta since the 1990s.
