Carol Christian Poell was born in Linz, Austria, in 1966 and trained in Vienna and at the Domus Academy in Milan before founding his label in Milan in 1994 together with Sergio Simone. His work is known for experimental materials and processes: drip rubber, kangaroo and horse leather, dead end zips, scarstitch seams, object dyed garments and shows staged as installations. Production is small and the pieces are among the most sought after in avant garde menswear.

The AKAIBU archive holds Carol Christian Poell from Fall Winter 1996 to Fall Winter 2001, including leather and goat hair gloves, scarstitch denim, reversible and oversized collar shirts, flight and blouson jackets, rubberized pieces and high waist trousers.

Carol Christian Poell garments carry the woven label with the style code, which allows the season to be identified. We state it in each listing when it can be confirmed.

Every piece in this collection is examined and authenticated in house in Vienna before it is listed. We ship worldwide with tracked delivery, and our showroom in Vienna can be visited by appointment. If you own Carol Christian Poell pieces you would like to sell, see Consign with AKAIBU. If you are looking for a specific piece that is not listed, our Sourcing service can search for it.
