Maison Martin Margiela 2000s Artisanal Reconstructed Denim Jacket

Maison Martin Margiela's Artisanal line, designated 0 in the numbering system the house introduced in 1997, was reserved for garments remade by hand at the Paris atelier. This jacket comes from that production during the 2000s, when Martin Margiela was still directing the house himself: existing denim taken apart and reconstructed into a new garment, unique by the nature of the process. Reworking a single Artisanal piece could occupy the atelier for five to six days, which kept output extremely low.
