In 2006 Comme des Garçons Homme Plus devoted a collection to the Rolling Stones, running John Pasche's 1970 tongue-and-lips logo across blazers, shirts and trousers in one of Rei Kawakubo's most direct engagements with rock iconography. These trousers set that collaboration on a pinstripe base, placing the band's insignia against classic suiting cloth. Kawakubo summed up the season by calling rock the symbol of energy and rebellion.
