Christian Dior by John Galliano 2004 Surf Chick Hibiscus Saddle Bag

The Saddle bag as filtered through Christian Dior's 2004 Surf Chick capsule, designed under John Galliano. Surf Chick took beach culture as its theme and ran across tops, scarves, jewelry and accessories, most of them carrying the line's flower prints and lettering. On this bag the hibiscus motif covers the printed canvas body, framed by leather trim. The asymmetric Saddle silhouette itself dates to Galliano's spring 2000 collection for the house, and through the early 2000s Dior reissued it in a stream of themed prints, Surf Chick among the 2004 entries.
