Chanel SS15 Multicolor Shorts Runway Sample

These multicolor shorts are a runway sample from Chanel Spring/Summer 2015, the season Karl Lagerfeld rebuilt the Grand Palais as Boulevard Chanel, a full-scale Parisian street that closed with a placard-waving demonstration led by Gisele Bündchen. The collection ran on painterly color, with dark tweeds overpainted in bright multicolor spots and an exploded floral print painted by Lagerfeld himself. In keeping with the street setting, not a single high heel appeared on the runway. As a sample, the piece was produced during the development of the show rather than for commercial distribution.
