Givenchy SS12 Birds of Paradise Black/Green Shirt

For Spring/Summer 2012, Riccardo Tisci turned Givenchy toward the surf culture of his youth, blowing up Hawaiian shirt motifs into oversized graphics that ran across tailoring, bombers and shirting. The Birds of Paradise print became the signature of the season, described by Tisci as standing for romanticism and sexuality. This button up carries the flower in black and green, one of several colourways the house produced. The print quickly travelled beyond the runway and was worn by Jay-Z, A$AP Rocky and Pusha T among others.
