Product Details

Rei Kawakubo described her Spring Summer 2000 collection as beautiful chaos, a season she built around sculptural texture and irregular blocks of colour rather than the padded forms of the years before.

This dress takes that texture into the bodice, where the silk is gathered and pleated by hand into vertical folds that run front and back and pull in at the centre. Below it the skirt is cut wide and left flat, falling away from the body in plain panels. It closes with a zip at the back.
