An N3B military parka in black waxed denim from Balmain's Autumn Winter 2010 menswear season under Christophe Decarnin. Military surplus shapes anchored the menswear line Decarnin introduced in January 2009, and AW10 leaned into heavy parkas and field outerwear, including the oversized fur trimmed parka that became one of the season's most recognized pieces. The N3B pattern originated as a United States Air Force cold weather design, translated here through waxed black denim. Decarnin left Balmain in 2011, so his menswear ran for only a handful of seasons.
