Thierry Mugler 80s Black Wool Jacket

Thierry Mugler spent the 1980s refining one of the most recognisable silhouettes in Paris, built on sharp construction, pronounced shoulders and a strongly cinched waist. This jacket is cut from black wool and dates from that decade. Mugler had opened his first boutique in 1978, drawing on 1940s and 1950s tailoring and pushing it toward science fiction and theatrical glamour.
