Rick Owens titled his fall 2014 womenswear collection Moody and presented it in Paris as a quieter, more reflective season after the step team spectacle of Vicious, one that circled different registers of authority, from the ecclesiastical to the institutional. This dress comes from that collection, its ribbed cotton drawn out into a long column. That floor bound knit silhouette recurred across Owens's womenswear throughout the mid 2010s.
