Maison Martin Margiela 2000s Artisanal Reconstructed Denim Pants

Maison Martin Margiela's Artisanal line, identified by a circled 0 on the label, covered garments remade by hand in the house's Paris atelier in editions of one or very few. These pants belong to that practice: existing denim reconstructed into a new garment during the 2000s, while Martin Margiela himself was still at the head of the studio. Reworked jeans were a recurring Artisanal subject in those years, the atelier splicing, restitching and recutting sourced denim rather than producing anything new.
