Eero Aarnio for Adelta Green Pastil Chair 1967

The Pastil chair was designed by Eero Aarnio in 1967 as a companion to his Ball Chair, its seat sized to the diameter of the earlier design's opening. Moulded in fiberglass, it rocks on its curved base, can be used outdoors and even floats on water. In 1968 the design received the American Industrial Design Award. This green example was produced by Adelta, the German manufacturer that has made Aarnio's designs since the 1990s.
