Gucci builds its straight leg denim around bleach washed indigo, the surface broken up by hand painted detailing that sets each pair slightly apart. The 1953 marking nods to the year the House introduced its Horsebit, a date Gucci has long carried as shorthand for its equestrian heritage and craft. Worn through the leg, the finish reads as something between studio experiment and everyday denim, the painted passages catching the light against the lightened ground.
